$5600 Given to Camas Businesses for COVID-19 relief

Aug 31, 2020

August 31, 2020 – $5600 Given to Camas Businesses for COVID-19 relief.

Eleven businesses in Camas, WA received their first profit distribution from the HYVÄ Shirts For Good Program, raising almost $5,600 for the effort.

The Camas community rallied to support local merchants by purchasing 744 custom designed Camas shirts and raising $5,590 in profit to share with participating businesses.

Camas was the first shirt project by HYVÄ launched in April, from an idea by Mel Locke of Universal Martial Arts in Camas, but has since expanded to 5 other northwest communities and will soon include nonprofit organizations similarly challenged by the current environment.

The goal of this program is to sell 20,000 shirts and promote community togetherness in support of Camas businesses negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and was recently featured in the KATU News Everyday Heroes segment.
